FAQ

Detailing Process

  • A full detail typically takes 2–6 hours, depending on the condition and size of the vehicle. Paint correction or ceramic services take longer, since we perform every step carefully to ensure perfection — never rushed work.

    • Basic focuses on cleaning and protection — perfect for well-maintained vehicles.

    • Standard adds deeper interior work and exterior decontamination for cars that need a reset.

    • Premium includes polishing and high-end protection to restore clarity and depth to your paint. It also includes all the little touches to make your vehicle show ready.
Every level uses the same professional products — the difference is in the depth of service and results.

  • Every full detail at JT Detail includes a complete interior and exterior restoration — deep vacuuming, plastics and leather conditioning, a safe hand wash, iron and tar removal, paint protection, and tire shine. We focus on every inch of the vehicle to make it look and feel brand new again.

Corrections & Coatings

  • Polishing enhances gloss and removes light haze; paint correction goes deeper, removing swirl marks, scratches, and oxidation. Correction requires precision, professional tools, and experience — it’s the art of perfecting paint.

  • f your paint looks dull or has visible swirls and scratches under light, then yes — even a single-stage correction can dramatically improve color depth and clarity.

  • Ceramic coating services are currently being refined to ensure the highest quality and durability possible. Once live, coatings will add multi-year protection, hydrophobic gloss, and resistance to UV, dirt, and chemicals.

Products & Equipment

  • We only use professional-grade detailing products and tools, locally made and sourced — we use PDP, Gtechniq, and other industry leaders. All chemicals are pH-balanced, safe for clear coat and interior materials, and designed for long-term protection, not just short-term shine.

    • Absolutely. Every product we use is tested and proven safe for factory paint, leather, Alcantara, plastics, and glass. We never use silicone-based or harsh cleaners that can dry out materials or leave greasy residue.

  • Yes — only high-quality, paint-safe microfibers. We use new microfibers for every step of the process for every car.

Interior Care

  • We use low-moisture steam cleaning, brand new microfibers, and pH-balanced cleaners. Everything is tailored to the material — leather, cloth, plastic, or suede — to ensure deep cleaning without wear.

  • We treat stains using specific removal techniques — light stains are extracted with gentle fabric cleaners, while heavier ones may require multiple passes or spot treatment. Surface stains are scrubbed after extraction. Odors are neutralized, not masked, using enzyme-based cleaners, chemical reactions, and ozone when necessary. Some odors such as cigarette smoke are not guaranteed to go away.

Paint Care & Protection

  • Over time, your paint collects bonded contaminants that washing can’t remove — things like brake dust, tar, and industrial fallout. A clay bar removes that buildup, leaving paint perfectly smooth and ready for wax or sealant to properly bond. We use synthetic clay mitts and lubricant to prevent marring of paint.

  • For most drivers, a full detail every 3–4 months keeps your vehicle protected and looking new. If you’re storing a car or daily driving it through all seasons, we recommend quarterly protection or a monthly maintenance wash. We offer a discounted subscription model on maintenance details.

  • Hand washing, quality microfiber mitts, and a pH-neutral soap will keep your finish swirl-free. Avoid automatic car washes — they cause micro-scratches and strip wax protection.

  • Occasionally, yes — it’s safer than a brush wash and good for a quick rinse, especially in winter. Just keep in mind that touch-free systems rely on harsh chemicals that can strip protection from your paint. For best results, schedule a maintenance wash or hand wash afterward to keep your finish protected. DO NOT USE IF YOUR VEHICLE IS CERAMIC COATED. The chemicals will wear down the coating over time.

Long-Term Results

  • Depending on your driving and wash habits, results typically last 4–8 weeks. Proper washing and maintenance can extend that dramatically. Our Premium package and ceramic coatings offer the longest-lasting protection.

    • Basic focuses on cleaning and protection — perfect for well-maintained vehicles.

    • Standard adds deeper interior work and exterior decontamination for cars that need a reset.

    • Light scratches and swirl marks can often be removed during polishing or paint correction. Deeper scratches can be reduced in appearance, but full removal may require touch-up or repainting — which we can advise on honestly before starting.

  • 100%. Every vehicle leaves our shop only when it meets our standard — if you ever have a concern about a detail, we’ll make it right. We will update you along the way if there is something that will require extra work or something that falls outside of the detailing industry.
